I worked with Jon while executing the commercial and technical integration of two newly-acquired products, also wearing a product management hat. Jon commenced his job as Head of Delivery at around the same time, and I was able to witness just how the delivery planning, processes, communication and function shot from zero to hero under his leadership across the 20+ products. One of the greatest achievements in my mind were his ability to create a strong sense of accountability (on time and budget, are we hitting the right business KPIs regarding retention/acquisition etc.) and sense of ‘we are one team’ across the whole suite of product teams, all dispersed globally, including successfully helping people understand and plan for product interdependencies.
